Foxborough Cares 5k

As we struggle to come out the other side of this pandemic, we see some signs of hope. Someday we will be attending events again with a new appreciation for a gathering without size limitations or safety concerns.

So many wonderful running events have gone virtual with a great deal of success and we applaud them. Unfortunately, our wonderful team consists of all volunteers who understand the work that goes into planning such an event.

We thank you for understanding that, due to the ongoing nature of the COVID pandemic, we will not be hosting our 5K this year.

We thank you for your ongoing support of the Marilyn Rodman Performing Arts Center, ConfiKids and the Foxborough Police Relief Association – the charities this event benefits.

Hopefully we will meet you at the starting line in 2022.

Race Information

we are sad to report our Foxborough Cares 5k will be canceled this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

We need to focus on our social distancing efforts and come together (although apart) to not spread this tragic virus and will put our efforts into bringing our community the best 5k ever in 2021.

Stay safe. Stay healthy.

And we will see you in 2021!

Our Mission

The Foxborough Cares 5K is a collaboration of efforts from community volunteers who wanted to continue a long-standing, beloved tradition of gathering to run for a cause on the first Saturday of June each year. The proceeds of this 5k will benefit 3 local non-profits:

  • The Marilyn Rodman Performing Arts Center at the Orpheum run by a non-profit organization whose mission is to keep our theater vibrant for the community.
  • ConfiKids, a non-profit that builds kids confidence by providing financial support for recreational, enrichment, sports and arts programs to families with financial challenges.
  • The Foxborough Police Relief Association who provides scholarships and relief funds to community residents and programs.

A donation will also be made to the longtime recipient in their fight against Juvenile Diabetes. The 5k is a wonderful mix of a long tradition with new energy focusing on the causes that bring the Foxborough community together.
